Today I shot Lindsay and Jaime at the Marriot Newport Coast Villas and at the beach in Laguna. It was a gorgeous day for pictures and the clouds looked amazing all day and gave us amazing light. These two will be getting married next month, and I can’t wait to see them again soon for their wedding.

Debra and Chong were married at the Chart House Restaurant in Dana Point. When I shot their engagement session I remember Debra telling me that the wedding was going to be very simple and small, but when we arrived to Debra’s home in Dana Point and saw three gorgeous dresses and Jimmy Choo shoes I knew right away that the wedding would not be simple. I also knew from the engagement session that Debra has great taste in fashion, which I can definitely appreciate. Her dresses were all very unique and beautiful, she wore the traditional white wedding dress for the ceremony, then changed into a detailed maroon dress for the lunch portion and toast, then changed into my personal favorite, a red chinese dress for the cake cutting and dancing portion of the reception. These two are such a sweet couple, and the cutest thing was that once they saw each other on the wedding day they were inseperable, and stayed hand in hand the entire day.

Lisa and John were married on this beautiful (and very hot) day at the Malibou Lake Mountain Club in Los Angeles. Their wedding was so much fun and so gorgeous, they had so many awesome details and are such a wonderful couple. Not to mention that the Malibou Lake Mountain Club is such a great venue, it has so much character and so many perfect locations for photos. The venue has also been a set for many popular movies and commercials, including The Ring in 2002. Malibou Lake also has an amazing coordinator, Meredith Pollard who is super sweet and made the day run flawlessly. I also want to say a huge thank you to Lisa’s florist Enchanted Gardens who did an amazing job with the flowers, we love you guys

Dara and Chris were married at the beautiful Rancho Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano. They had so many great details, and their colors were gorgeous. We always love shooting at Rancho Capistrano becuase it is such a beautiful place, but it also helps that all of our couples we’ve been lucky enough to shoot here have been so fun to work with. Chris and Dara had us laughing all day, they have such wonderful personalities and are so loving to each other. Enjoy the sneak peek you two!

Today we shot Rachel and Joshua’s engagement session at the happiest place on earth. Yes I was working on Father’s Day! These two toughed it out by waking up early for their engagement session at Disneyland to avoid the heat and crowds. We are really looking forward to seeing them both again at their wedding. Thank you both for a fun morning!

Jennifer and Joe’s awesome wedding took place at The Hilton Irvine. This was actually a double ceremony, first a ceremony took place at the church and then a traditional Korean tea ceremony was held afterwards. This wedding was filled with so many awesome details, many of which were prepared by Jennifer herself! Joe was pretty awesome too, he suprised all the guests and his bride by singing to her at the reception! Earlier in the day, we ran into Dennis Rodman who was hanging out at the Hilton also. He was really cool about taking a picture with the bride and groom. Later that evening, he also stopped by the reception and had gave a little toast to the bride and groom. We had such a fun day with these two and will not forget their amazing wedding!

*I also added a little video I took with my 5DMK2, it was shot hand held and I’m IN NO WAY A VIDEOGRAPHER but thought it would be cool to capture this too. Maybe some video guys can help me clean this video up a bit, since I wasn’t too sure how to upload it here.

Ashley and Jesse chose The Turnip Rose in Newport Beach for their wedding, and I have to say that they made a wonderful choice. Not only did I have a sweet adorable couple but the Turnip Rose was an awesome place to shoot. Mari and Michael had their wedding at the South Coast Winery in Temecula, Ca. I’ve known Mari for quite some time if you remember from their engagement session, I used to be her boss! I was really looking forward to their wedding. I shot their engagement session earlier this year, but a also few years ago I shot a portrait session of Mari and Michael when their relationship was still really brand new. This was even before there was talk of being engaged. Funny thing is, that the session was shot in a little vineyard/winery also! Crazy how things turn out. We had the best lighting conditions today at South Coast Winery, and I think it made for some really great pictures today, not to mention having a super cool couple to work with. Special thanks to Kristy from Swann Soirees for coordinating a flawless event and Jeret for 2nd shooting with me. Thank you Mari and Michael again and congratulations on your new life together.

Today was a first for us, we shot an engagement session on a boat! Karen and Steve planned to have their engagement session in Long Beach. We actually had planned on doing this session earlier in month, but waited for better weather. Im glad we did because we had a really blue sky today. Thank you both for a really fun experience and great session. Looking forward to seeing you both again really soon!

Today Marylynn and Will were married at the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant in Cypress, Ca. These two actually live in New York, but celebrated their wedding here to be closer to family and friends. We had excellent weather and the nicest couple. The ceremony was filled with a ton of emotion; I think everyone had a tear in his or her eye at one point during the ceremony. Thank you both again for having us document your day!
