Catherine and Daniel chose to have their engagement pictures taken at the beautiful botanical gardens at the Huntington Library in Pasadena. I’ve always loved this location but never had the chance to photograph anyone but my children here so I was so excited for this session. I think we got some really great pictures and we had such a blast exploring the grounds. Thanks again you two, can’t wait to see you soon for the wedding!

I was so excited when Kristen told me her idea of an “Up” inspired engagement session!  It was just as much fun as I thought it would be with these two.  They are such a fun couple, and I can tell they are going to have such a fun life together!

It’s that time of year again for my annual boudoir marathon!  This year I will be doing the sessions at the luxurious Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.  This hotel is amazing and will be the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photos.  Dates will be Friday January 14th and Saturday January 15th.  Please email me directly at erinpalos@me.com for more information on reserving your session. Boudoir pictures are a great gift for your husband-to-be, boyfriend or husband for their birthday or Valentines day.  It’s also a lot of fun just to do for yourself, and we will have lots of champagne and cupcakes to make it lots of fun!  Each session will last for 30 minutes during the marathon, but if you’d like to set up a full session that can last up to 2 hours.  Boudoir sessions are also great to do as a party with girlfriends, or with your bridesmaids.

Photos and albums will be guaranteed for Valentines Day.

We have been busy, busy, busy here at Palos Studio and trying to catch up as our busy wedding season has come to an end. Our season kept going strong until the last week of November, and we are happy to be able to breathe a little and catch up with the blog. We feel so bad for not updating recently. Heidi and Chris and had a fun engagement session in some of the coolest spots in the city of San Juan Capistrano. From the train station to the bamboo fields, all within the city of San Juan Capistrano. Thank you both for letting me pick all the fun places to shoot today.

This wedding was one of my favorite of the year for so many reasons! Not only are Laura and Eric one of the sweetest couples in the world, but they are also very photogenic and have amazing taste. With all the details at this wedding I felt like I was in wedding paradise…. which I think that I was. Laura is one of the most caring and beautiful people I’ve ever met, Eric is definitely a lucky guy. And Laura is pretty lucky herself to have such a great husband. I was so glad they chose to do a first look and see each other before the ceremony so we could take advantage of shooting at the Hotel Del and at the beach, it truly made their romantic shots so much better. Laura, her mother, and some of her other family members did all the details themselves, including the flowers. I was completely blown away by all the work they put into making this day beautiful. To top it off they had an amazing coordinator, Courtney with After the Engagement kept everything moving smoothly and she even had emergency contact solution for me…. she saved the day. Thank you so much Laura and Eric for having us capture your wedding day, we are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives!
